SCAT Airlines (DV, Shymkent) has signed an agreement with US lessor AIP Capital for two B737-8s, doubling the number of the variant that the carrier is awaiting delivery for. The two Boeing narrowbodies are due to join the airline in November 2027, news provider CentralAsia+Aero reported, citing the carrier's technical director Dmitry Denisov. It had been expecting to take delivery of two -8s and two B737-9s in 2027, the report added. As ch-aviation previously reported, SCAT placed a new order with Boeing for five B737-9s in April 2026, boosting the number of planned -9s in the fleet to a total of 15. The company also confirmed last month it had signed a deal with Boeing to add a single B767-300ER(BCF), its first dedicated freighter.
