The Loddon Valley Ramblers (LVR) have completed signposting of the Lower Earley Green Corridor Trail, a 3.5-mile mostly traffic-free path running from Loddon Bridge to Shinfield Road.
Steve Vale, footpath officer from Loddon Valley Ramblers, said: "The trail has been in existence for some time, but only some of the locals knew about is and used it.
Support for the project came from Earley Town Council, which provided funding, and members of the Earley Environment Group (EEG), who assisted with the installation of signage.
The trail is almost entirely off-road except for a short stretch at the junction of Beeston Way, Lower Earley Way and Cutbush Lane (not far from Asda).
Directions for the trail are already available on the Loddon Valley Ramblers’ website (www.lvra.org.uk) under the footpath tab, or can be found on the Earley Environmental Group’s website (www.earleyenvironmentalgroup.co.uk).
