['Stephen Kinninmonth']
Dunfermline Press | News
ScotRail is adding more late-night services and extra capacity on trains to help passengers travel in and out of the capital during the busiest weeks of the year.
The expanded timetable includes longer trains on routes between Edinburgh Waverley, Fife, and Perth, as well as additional late-night services to Leven and Dundee.
The changes will be in place from Friday, August 7, until Sunday, August 30, to coincide with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Edinburgh International Festival.
ScotRail may introduce queuing systems at Edinburgh Waverley and other busy stations to keep boarding safe and organised.
Full details of the additional festival services, including late-night trains serving Fife and Leven, are available on ScotRail’s Edinburgh Festivals webpage and through the ScotRail app.
