Crossgates care home summer fairs raise funds for residents’ comfort

The annual events were held at Craigie House and Alexander House, organised by Holmes Care.
Despite wet weather forcing festivities indoors, residents, families, staff, and members of the Crossgates community turned out in support.
A total of £670 was raised during the fairs, despite the unpredictable weather (Image: Homes Care Group)Yvonne Manson, senior service manager at Alexander House and Craigie House Care Homes, said: "We are feeling completely overwhelmed by the support shown by our incredible families, volunteers, staff, visitors and the wonderful Crossgates community.
Guests enjoyed refreshments, home baking, laughter, and stalls, raising £670 for the residents’ comfort fund.
The funds raised will go towards the residents’ comfort fund helping to create extra special moments throughout the year.
