Festival-goers across Fife are being encouraged to leave the car at home and hop on one of the ‘fast and frequent’ express buses into the heart of the capital this August. Stagecoach will be providing extra capacity on some of its busiest services where possible during the festival period to help meet increased demand. Fiona Doherty, managing director for Stagecoach South Scotland, said: “Our express buses provide a fast, frequent and great value way to travel into Edinburgh, helping customers avoid congestion and the challenge of finding city centre parking during one of the busiest times of the year.” Express routes from Fife to Edinburgh include the X55 and X57 from Dunfermline, X58 and X61 from Kirkcaldy, X59 and X59A from Glenrothes, and X58 and X59 from St Andrews. Passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and buy tickets via the Stagecoach Bus App or on board, with more information available on the company's website.
