Supported by Worcestershire County Council's Public Health team, 100 Get School Ready book bags are now available at libraries across the county to support families preparing for their child’s first day of school. Each pack includes books about starting school, practical advice for parents and carers, and fun activities designed to build confidence and encourage conversations. Parents have praised the scheme. One parent said: "It has made my daughter feel more confident about starting school and helped us have positive conversations about this big milestone." Families can borrow a Get School Ready pack from their local library or reserve one online through the council's website.
