Fresh plans to convert Fountain Stores in Court Road into a block of flats have been put forward. A previous plan to turn the former shop, pub, and children’s nursery into housing was approved by Malvern Hills District Council in 2020. "The site benefits from an existing dropped kerb on Court Road," the plans state. "The access onto Court Road affords good visibility in either direction, being located on the outside of a gentle bend. Fountain Stores, on the corner of Court Road and Thirlstane Road, was originally built as a pub, the Fountain Inn.
