Volunteers from Worcester Wildlife Watch responded after an appeal for help was posted online. One volunteer attended the scene to carefully free the animal from the net before a second volunteer transported it to Vale Wildlife Hospital to be checked over. What to do if you find a hedgehog tangled up in a net? "Do not release them after untangling, as they may have internal injuries from struggling, so need to be checked over by a hedgehog rescue or wildlife hospital."
