The local heat of The Rotary Young Writers Competition, held at Ysgol Calon Cymru and organised by Builth Wells Rotary Club, saw local talents shine. Both winners from the local heat made their mark in the national finals. Matilda Batten, representing the senior section, secured second place, earning both a trophy and a monetary voucher. Meanwhile, Martha Jones, the intermediate contender, received a certificate of achievement for reaching the national finals. Builth Wells Rotary President, Richard Davies, presented the honours, with Rotarians Iain Brown and Ciaran O’Connell also in attendance.
