HM Coastguard Borth said it was called out to Ynyslas beach on Sunday, August 2, following reports of ordnance being found on the beach.
Because of the fading light and time it would take the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (EODU) unit to get to Ynyslas, they delayed their arrival until Monday.
“The team were called out at 5.07pm on Sunday evening to reports of ordnance at Ynyslas beach,” HM Coastguard Borth said in a post on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
“The team were called out again on Monday morning to meet with EODU to provide a secure cordon whilst they detonated the items.
“There are many items of ordnance washed up on the beaches locally.
