He may have been heading to either Carreg y Barcud near Trelerw or Caer Bwdy Bay. Police are leading the search with support from specialist officers, drones, a helicopter, and a marine unit alongside HM Coastguard and the RNLI. He was carrying an orange bag, and wearing black climbing shoes with an orange strap.
