Keswick Mountain Rescue Team was called to Dodd Wood at 9.54am on August 2, by the North West Ambulance Service. CPR was already in progress when crews arrived. A spokesman for Keswick MRT said: "Despite the combined efforts of all emergency medical professionals, the man sadly passed away. "The deepest thoughts and condolences of everyone involved are with the gentleman’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time." Eighteen team members attended the incident.
