Bricks were sent flying across the front garden of Alastair and Tracy Hunt’s home on Harley Street, Leigh, after a Lexus ploughed into the wall shortly after midday on Tuesday. Mr Hunt, 55, had left for a hospital appointment moments before the crash, while his wife said she had been about to let the family dog into the garden. “When he went through the wall, he stopped on the tree,” said Mr Hunt. She claims there have been several crashes on the same stretch of road in recent years. It’s a straight stretch and there are no cameras.
