Crews were called to the scene of the incident at Foundry Yard in Walton-on-the-Naze yesterday evening. A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue said: "Crews from Frinton, Weeley, Clacton and Wivenhoe extinguished a fire at a scrapyard in Foundry Yard, Walton. Blaze - The fire broke out in Walton yesterday evening (Image: Jayne Finch)"Crews worked with site staff, who used a digger to help us to fully extinguish the fire. The fire broke out near the Naze Marine Holiday Park, however it is understood that the caravan park was unaffected. Plumes of smoke could be seen from around the town.
