The incident, which took place on Honeypot Lane yesterday afternoon, caused low pressure and supply issues for some residents. A spokesperson for Essex & Suffolk Water said: “Earlier today our teams responded to a burst water main on Honeypot Lane in Basildon. “Initially customers in the impacted area experienced issues with their water supplies, but our teams isolated the main and the large majority of these were swiftly restored. “A very small number of customers are still currently experiencing low pressure or no water, but we are working closely with those affected and providing alternative water supplies where needed. The update comes after a spokesperson for Essex & Suffolk Water revealed a 'six inch water main' burst.
