The incident took place at around 9pm on Tuesday, August 4 in Gunners Park, Shoebury, on a dirt track running parallel to New Barge Pier Road between the car park and Magazine Road. The officer was struck from behind and knocked to the ground. The suspects are believed to have fled in the direction of Magazine Road. Anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area at the time is urged to come forward.
