Emergency services attended the scene on Bullwood Road, Hockley, at around 11.05am yesterday (August 5), after receiving reports of a sudden death in a public place. Part of Hockley Woods was cordoned off by police throughout the morning and yesterday afternoon, with a large emergency response seen. An Essex Police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a sudden death in a public place in Bullwood Road, Hockley, at about 11.05am on Wednesday 5 August. The force are treating his death as unexpected but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner. When life is difficult, Samaritans are here to listen – day or night, 365 days a year.
