More than 3,800 vehicles seized across Essex as police target uninsured drivers

Essex Police said 3,824 vehicles were seized between January and July 2026, already exceeding the 3,580 vehicles seized during the whole of 2023.
Officers have seized an average of 546 vehicles each month this year, with monthly totals ranging from 487 in July to 632 in May.
