Jon Arrowsmith, sole director of Cocker Hoop Creative, which organised the event, faces four charges to do with the organisation and advertising of the festival following an investigation by North Yorkshire Trading Standards. The food and drink festival was due to take place in Skipton between July 18 and July 20 last year, but was cancelled on July 4. It is also alleged that Facebook posts advertising an appearance of a television presenter were not corrected despite it being cancelled. Cocker Hoop took on the event, which had been staged at Funkirk Farm, Carleton, after its previous owners Events By B3 went into liquidation in May 2024. Mr Arrowsmith is due to appear before York Magistrates Court on September 2.
