Members of the planning committee at New Forest District Council (NFDC) are due to consider the proposals on August 12. The nationwide hotel chain wants to convert its Brewers Fayre restaurant at its hotel in Hordle into extra bedrooms, and also build a new two‑storey annexe at the rear of the site. The hotel, on the western end of Silver Street between a house and the petrol station, currently has 20 rooms and 78 parking spaces. The total number of rooms on the site would rise to 57, meeting what the company describes as “considerable demand” for budget accommodation in the area. In the planning statement, Premier Inn said: “The proposals would add additional bedrooms to a well-used hotel on an established hotel site, providing facilities for both business and leisure travellers.
