The Railway Hotel, a Fordingbridge landmark for more than 160 years, officially reopened on August 5, with Jason Schinkel as the new publican. Built in the 1860s by Dorchester brewer Eldridge Pope, the hotel originally served passengers at the now-defunct Fordingbridge Railway Station on the Salisbury and Dorset Railway line. Barry Robbins, chief executive at Larasian, said: "We are delighted that Jason and his team are in place at The Railway Hotel.
