The arrests occurred in The Polygon area, after locals in Milton Road and Wilton Avenue alerted police to suspected drug activity on Wednesday evening. Officers from the Bargate Neighbourhoods team stopped a man on a bicycle, who was known to them for alleged drug involvement, near Cromwell Road. More than £1,000 in cash and multiple mobile phones, suspected to be used in drug dealing, were seized. The 50-year-old and 33-year-old men were both arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. A police spokesperson said: "Drug supply is a blight on the community and this proactive enforcement has only been possible due to the information received in large by the community.
