Officers were called at around 1.30am following concerns that a suspected drink-driver had left a pub in Warsash. Police quickly located a white Audi A1 travelling along Bridge Road and brought the vehicle to a stop. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Hedge End, allegedly refused to comply with a roadside breath test and was arrested. He has since been charged with driving while over the prescribed alcohol limit. Police thanked the person who reported the incident and used the case to remind motorists of the dangers of drink-driving.
