Cruise Azure Parking wants to expand its business by using an existing car park next to Charter Court in Third Avenue, Millbrook. The planning application to Southampton City Council seeks to change the use of the land to a park-and-ride car park, with fencing, lighting and CCTV. The other option would be a pre-booked park-and-ride service, with customers driving to the car park before a member of the Cruise Azure team transfers them to the port. Upon their return, they will be collected from the port and transported back to the car park. The cruise parking scheme will be considered by planning officers following a public consultation, which closes on Friday, August 26.
