Detective Sergeant Andrew Hedley, 52, admitted kissing his married colleague in an unmarked police vehicle after covert operations at a misconduct hearing in Eastleigh. He added: "PC A didn't want the affair to be the reason why her marriage failed. Hedley said the kisses happened after operations and the unmarked vehicle would not have looked like a police car to the public. Hedley joined Hampshire Constabulary after the affair was exposed and spent time working in counter-terrorism. He should have disclosed the affair, and he shouldn't have kissed PC A in a police vehicle."
