Bermudian boxer Saundre “Dash” Simmons is set to fight Kirra Ruston for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific Light Heavyweight title on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Simmons [9-0] will face Australian Ruston [9-0] at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on August 26. The main event will feature Nikita Tsyyu against Ben Mahoney in a IBF super-welterweight world title eliminator. “Just blessed with an opportunity to feed my family and continue the path I chose,” Simmons said. Simmons was born in Massachusetts and raised in Somerset, Bermuda, but spent part of his youth in Asheville.
