After six weekly rehearsals, the newly formed St Marys' Pop-Up Choir gave its inaugural Summer Concert at St Marys' Church on Saturday, July 25 to an audience of over 180 people. Caroline Johnson performed César Franck's solo aria Panis Angelicus and Jonathan Adkins performed two organ solos. St Marys' Rector, Revd Sarah Heywood said: "This project has been an absolute delight from its very beginning. "I'm so grateful to the (ferociously talented) Caroline and to Jonathan, our superb musical director, for their hard work in making the Pop-Up Choir happen." Following the success of the concert, it is hoped that St Marys' Pop-Up Choir will return for future musical events.
