In the 2026-27 annual budget report, Arun District Council agreed to set aside £25,000 to commission a study into improving customer experience at the venue. A spokesperson from the council said: “The report will help the council decide what improvements may be needed and plan them over the medium to longer term.” The report will consider upgrades such as ‘Toilet facilities, redecoration, lighting, and refreshments’. The historic entertainment venue is an important part of the community, providing a 192 seat theatre space, independent cinema and venue hire. A report on any potential new improvements will be presented to the Economy Committee on September 10, 2026.
