Hastings Pride in Place Board, formerly the Hastings Neighbourhood Board, has appointed eight new members following a recruitment process that drew more than 120 applications. The board oversees the delivery of the Pride in Place programme, which will invest £20 million into the town over the next 10 years. Kevin Boorman, independent chair of the board, said: "We are delighted to welcome our brilliant new community board members. "Throughout this programme, we have been committed to ensuring that local people are at the heart of decision-making. The programme is now moving from planning into delivery, with decisions increasingly led by the community.
