GRAND FORKS — The UND football team wore full pads and brought in local officials on Thursday morning as the Fighting Hawks went through fall camp Day 8. Beaver twins active in backfieldAlthough the offense has had the better of the defense the last few days, UND's true freshmen defensive tackles — twins Mason Beaver and Isaac Beaver of Kearney, Mo. UND has shown at fall camp it's planning to start Logyn Eckheart and Albany transfer Kylyn Macklin at tackle, but the Beaver twins are pushing the next mix along with Eastern Illinois transfer Kefa Pereira (6-1, 305) and Tyler Henry. Offense shines in red zoneBoth quarterbacks Jerry Kaminski and Javance Tupou'ata-Johnson found success in red-zone situations during the live setting. Tupou'ata-Johnson hit tight end Watson Hafer, tight end Hunter Kallstrom and wide receiver Sam Strandell in a quick sequence of touchdowns.
