Johnson, who served as a Republican governor from 1995 to 2003, has been more recently known as a Libertarian. Johnson ran for president as a Libertarian in 2012 and 2016, garnering national attention. Hull is running on the Republican ticket and served as mayor of Rio Rancho for 12 years.
