ALBANY, N.Y. — A new law will give small-scale, licensed cannabis businesses an opportunity to sell at approved public markets in New York State. Kathy Hochul has signed a bill to allow cannabis microbusinesses and dispensaries to sell at approved pop-up events, farmers’ markets, and cannabis showcase events. The governor said the bill aims to put small cannabis businesses on a level playing field with larger ones, while expanding access to regulated products. State Senator Michelle Hinchey, who supported the bill, said small cannabis farms often lack access to retail markets or large marketing budgets.
