Delores Jane Koscinski (née Sniezek) of Union Township passed away at her home in the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, she is the elder daughter of the late Walter J. and Anna M. (née Sniezek) Sniezek. Delores attended through the eighth grade at Madonna of Czestochowa School, New Castle. Delores, or "De," was active in high school, in the Student Council, National Honor Society, Teenettes and Leaders Club, as an office aide as well as holding the office of senior class secretary. She graduated from Union High School, the Class of 1964. As an alumna, Delores remained active as a Reunion Committee member for her graduating class over the decades. Delores began working in the office at the age of 17 for New Castle Fruit and Produce. She spent her entire career there before retiring from "The Produce" at its closure in 2008. Delores was a current member of St. Mary Church, Holy Spirit Parish. For many years, Delores volunteered with the Sisterhood of Madonna of Czestochowa Parish. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas E. Koscinski; her two sons, Kenneth W. Koscinski and his wife, Nadine (Sokoluk), of Tinicum Township/Union Township, Pennsylvania, and Thomas J. Koscinski and his wife, Jennifer, of Hopewell, Pennsylvania; and her one grandson, Alexei. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Matonak of Trumbull, Connecticut; her sisters-in-law, Janice Sniezek of Neshannock Township, Patricia J. Koscinski of Shenango Township and Patricia A. Koscinski of Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, extending several generations; and many cherished, lifelong friends. In addition to her parents, Delores was predeceased by a brother, Paul J. Sniezek. Throughout her years, Delores enjoyed Weekly Dinner Club, polka dancing, cheering for the Pittsburgh sports teams, hunting, going up to the mountains and, most of all, spending time with friends and family. Delores' family would like to express their sincere gratitude for all of the healthcare professionals and staff who cared for Delores and gave tremendous support to her family in her brief period of illness.
