and Shopify marked the start of Black Business Month with a daylong event in New York City that spotlighted Black women-owned businesses while offering entrepreneurs educational programming and networking opportunities, Hello Beautiful reports.
The She Did That x Shopify Black Business Month Experience: Brilliance in Motion happened Aug. 4 at Shopify New York, 131 Greene St., in SoHo.
Organizers said the collaboration with Shopify is intended to increase visibility for Black women-owned businesses while connecting founders with consumers and fellow entrepreneurs during Black Business Month.
Black Business Month is observed annually in August to recognize and support Black-owned businesses and their contributions to local economies and communities.
