Essential barrier upgrades are taking place on the northbound carriageway between Junctions 1 (Provan Interchange) and 2 (Robroyston Interchange), with work scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 23, and run until Friday, September 18.
Work will require overnight closures of the northbound carriageway on specific dates: Sunday, August 23; Sunday, September 6; Monday, September 7; Wednesday, September 16; and Thursday, September 17.
Drivers will be diverted via Provan Road, the M8 Junction 13 on-slip, Junction 12 off-slip, Cumbernauld Road, Provanmill Road, Royston Road, Robroyston Road, and the M80 Junction 2 northbound on-slip during the closures.
Single lane closures between Junctions 1 and 2 will also be in place throughout the works.
The upgrades aim to improve both safety and road surface conditions for users of the M80.
