The disruption affects services on the Glasgow Central to Newton, Neilston, and Cathcart Circle routes, with no trains running between Glasgow Central and those destinations via Cathcart or Maxwell Park on Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9. The closure is due to planned track work between Cathcart and Maxwell Park. Passengers can use alternative train services via Barrhead, Crossmyloof, Pollokshaws West, Giffnock, and Clarkston to reach their destinations. Those travelling to Newton can use Cambuslang and Rutherglen services on the Glasgow Central Low Level line. On Saturday, the service will run from Neilston to Glasgow via Barrhead, Pollokshaws, and Shawlands, and on Sunday from Barrhead to Glasgow.
