Two men kicked out Glasgow city centre after morning incident

Police were called to Union Street at around 9.25am on Thursday, August 6, after an attempted theft was reported.
Both men were issued with recorded police warnings and given dispersal orders.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two men were issued with Recorded Police Warnings and dispersal orders following an attempted theft at a premises on Union Street, Glasgow, around 9.25am on Thursday, 6 August, 2026."
The incident took place within Glasgow’s city centre dispersal zone, which has been in effect since March 20.
A total of 70 people have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for re-entering the zone.
