Doherty is back in the hotseat at Crampsey Park this year, having previously managed the club in 2018 and 2019. Urris have been drawn in Group B of the Junior Football Championship alongside Naomh Padraig Lifford, Letterkenny Gaels, Naomh Brid and St Mary’s Convoy. It’s a big test for Doherty’s young group of players but he stated that they’re going to take each game as it comes. “Letterkenny Gaels and Naomh Brid, with where they finished in the league, would probably be favourites for it. “The more big championship games that we can get into our players the better it will be for us over the next few years and hopefully we can push on.”
