AGRICULTURE Minister, Andrew Muir, has rejected allegations that cattle culled near Clogher were ‘chased around fields’ by officials from his department or shot mutliple times during the controversial incident which has generated serious concerns. The Minister has been under pressure to address the issue in recent weeks. “The conduct of the operation was dynamically assessed by the team on site, including consideration of public visibility. “Although complete screening from all possible vantage points could not be guaranteed, efforts were made to keep the operation out of public view,” Minister Muir added. “At this time there was a small number of protestors at the site, but operations did not recommence until they had left the scene.”
