On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at approximately 1:04 p.m., officers with the Paris Police Department responded to a major traffic crash in the 3600 block of FM 195. Postal Service SUV that was attempting to turn onto North Hills Road while delivering mail. The impact forced the postal vehicle into the southbound lane, where it was struck by an oncoming pickup truck towing a trailer. Postal Service vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a hospital in Plano, Texas, for treatment. The crash remains under investigation by the Paris Police Department.
