Analysis of overseas clicks on job advertisements show that one-in-five came from Pakistan, while Irish jobseekers showed interest in posts in US, UK and UAEClinicians based in Pakistan, the UK and the US are showing the most interest in Irish medical jobs, according to new research. Recruitment website Indeed found that, among foreign doctors and surgeons clicking on Irish job advertisements, one-in-five (20.5 per cent) came from Pakistan. The research also shows strong overseas interest in other healthcare occupations. In the UK 38 per cent of doctors and one-in-five nurses (22.7 per cent) are foreign-trained. “We’re seeing strong international interest in Irish healthcare jobs, but likewise, we are also seeing Irish healthcare workers looking for opportunities overseas.”
