The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) is investigating the unauthorised occupation of the Manhyia South Sub-Metro office after concerns were raised by members during a General Assembly meeting. “Our attention has been drawn to a situation where the Manhyia South Sub-Metro office has been handed over to a private person for the purpose of conducting church services. He said the Assembly views the act as a direct affront to public property and local governance structures. Some Assembly members who contributed to discussions alleged that such takeovers are common whenever there is a change in government. KMA says it remains committed to protecting public assets and ensuring that all Sub-Metro offices are used solely for official business.
