Mr Mohammed insisted that the NPP was represented at the memorial service.
“Honourable Hackman Osei Agyemang, who also represented the party, and the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the party were represented.
Mr Mohammed also dismissed suggestions that the NPP should have postponed its demonstration to another date.
According to Mr Mohammed, President Mahama, who served as Prof. Mills' Vice-President before succeeding him as President, should have attended the event if the issue was one of sensitivity.
“The President selected Mr Mahama as his running mate and subsequently as Vice-President.
