By Carlos ReyesBROT Doner Cafe Bakery is preparing to open at 1348 3rd Street Promenade, the space previously occupied by a convenience store and earlier by Trimana. The Santa Monica location will be a larger version of the brand’s existing Hollywood Boulevard spot, which specializes in Berlin-style döner. The menu includes beef, chicken and falafel “Brot” sandwiches on house-baked bread, along with lavash wraps, rice boxes, fries, baklava and drinks such as ayran. No opening date has been announced.
