The KMI panel should never have existed, and Celtic can now welcome its abolishment

Celtic fans can breathe a sigh of relief following the news that the SFA’s Key Match Incident panel has been abolished.
The anonymous panel was introduced back in 2024 and has baffled observers throughout the two years since.
The process became even more confusing when Willie Collum, the SFA’s chief of refereeing, directly contradicted the panel’s verdict.
The most notable instance of this was the infamous Motherwell vs Celtic handball incident that caused hysteria throughout the globe.
But as far as attempts at introducing an authoritative voice of reason go, the KMI panel is one of the worst we’ve ever seen.
