THE CANADIAN PRESS/Ethan CairnsTalking Points WestJet flight attendants secured an 18% wage increase over three years following a one-day strike, according to the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
Flight attendants will receive a 2.75% wage hike in January and a 2.5% increase in 2028.
The union aims to address unpaid ground work, with pressure mounting after Air Canada secured similar compensation for its staff.
The negotiations pushed flight attendants to strike early Sunday, in the middle of a long weekend.
The two sides reached a tentative deal the next day and WestJet has since gradually returned to normal.
