On Wednesday, members of the Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force, along with partner agencies, executed a search warrant on West 11th Street in Duluth for a man on pre-trial release for a February 2026 first-degree fentanyl arrest. The man also has prior convictions for armed robbery in 2015 and home invasion with a firearm in 2009. While the Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force executed the search warrant, the man made an attempt to flee. Investigators discovered around 39 grams of fentanyl, two digital scales, fentanyl packing materials, and $1,738 in cash from drug sales during the execution of the search warrant. The man is now being held at the St. Louis County Jail on pending charges of first-degree sale of fentanyl.
