In his welcome address, the Director-General of the Nigeria Institute of Police Studies, Professor Olu Ogunshakin, commended the Inspector-General for establishing the Nigeria Police Force Steering Committee on State Police. He noted that several recommendations made by the committee had been incorporated into the proposed State Police Bill, describing its work as a significant contribution to the country’s ongoing policing reform efforts. “The Committee’s work is a significant contribution to the ongoing policing reform process,” Ogunshakin said.
