Welsh airport earns top marks for accessibility

The airport was named among 19 UK airports rated 'Very Good' in the 2025/26 Airport Accessibility Report, which recognised strong performance in supporting passengers with disabilities and mobility needs.
Anna Bowles, head of consumer protection at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, said: "The progress made in improving airport accessibility over the last decade is encouraging.
Cardiff Airport was one of five airports visited by the regulator for a detailed 'deep dive' assessment.
While national passenger satisfaction with air travel reached 88 per cent - the highest recorded since 2016 - the figure was slightly lower for passengers with accessibility needs, at 82 per cent.
Airports have invested millions in improving accessibility through upgraded services, facilities, and staff training.
