Research by employee benefits experts, Everywhen, has found that 87 per cent of employers think overseas staff need additional support compared to employees based in the UK.
Overseas employees need additional support with:Mental health and wellbeing 49 per cent Financial health and wellbeing 47 per cent Physical health and wellbeing 46 per cent Social health and wellbeing 45 per cent Do not need more support 9 per cent Don’t know 4 per cent- Advertisement -“One in ten (9 per cent of) employers who believe that overseas employees do NOT need additional support compared to their UK-based colleagues is a significant number,” comments Sarah Dennis, head of international at Everywhen.
Some countries and regions have different mandatory support and different wellbeing regulations that need to be complied with.
“Employees overseas may have very different requirements to those based in the UK and, therefore, need very different benefits, and need support in accessing it.
Sarah Dennis concludes: “Recognising that overseas employees may need additional support to those based in the UK is a great first step.
